Jonathan Mace-Kaff

Jonathan Mace-Kaff

My name is Jonathan Mace-Kaff and I’ve been working as a Remedial Therapist on the Gold Coast for 3 years. I’ve worked at Hinterland Chiropractic since January 2012 as well working as a Remedial Therapist/trainer for a Gold Coast AFL team in 2012.

A few other experiences I’ve had as a massage therapist include such events as; Pedal for Prostate, Billabong surfing competition and 2 consecutive Gold Coast Marathons.

I studied my Diploma of Remedial Massage as Massage Schools of Queensland, where it was hands on from day one. We studied theory in the morning and practical in the afternoons and I honestly couldn’t decide which one I found more fascinating, being hands on or the incredible science behind it. I became very passionate about everything I was learning, trying to educate my own clients about how the body works and how to keep it healthy, functioning normally and free of tension. The course expanded my knowledge of the body both anatomically and spiritually, leaving me open minded and seeking more.

My enthusiasm for massage and general health and well-being helped me to achieve highly throughout my course. As a result I was awarded Dux of my class for being the highest academic achiever.

My life consists of a lot more than just massage; I also have a background in retail, with over 5 years of experience. In summer you will find me at the beach almost every day, either skating on my longboard, swimming, running or hanging out on the sand with my friends. I also enjoy photography, yoga, reading, video games and going to the gym.

I’m very passionate about health and fitness and have always been a very active person. I love challenging myself whenever I can, participating in such events as the Kokoda Challenge and Tough Mudder and the Southern Cross University 10km Run.

Next year I’ll be studying a Certificate III and IV in Fitness part-time to add another tool to my belt and expand my knowledge even further. I am by no means an expert on the human body, but what I do know, I know well. There’s so much knowledge out there and I’m such a curious person I don’t think I will ever stop learning and seeking new experiences…

The day you stop learning is the day you stop living.” – Albert Einstein
